Fusion is now more prevalent in all areas of Belly Dance and whether a tribal or cabaret
style dancer fusion can enrich your performances . This workshop will explore techniques to fuse dance stylizations
to create fusions that remain strong in belly dance technique and history. Then building on modern, world or various
dance forms, we'll create movements that merge effortlessly with different forms of music.
About Neylan: Providence's
Neylan is well know for her unique blend of Tribal Belly Dance, Raks Sharki, and World Dance Stylizations. Neylan began
her arts and dance training at the University of Nebraska Lincoln where she holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts. Upon re-locating
back New England in 2000, she started formal Middle Eastern Dance training at Perishable theater in Providence RI. She effortlessly
fuses her performances into a rich tapestry of movement that will captivate and inspire. She is one of Providence's leading
instructors and artistic troupe directors. In addition she has worked to bring leading performers of the Tribal Belly
dance world to Pershiable Theater, such as Zafira, Jill Parker and Mira Betz (coming August 6th 2011). She has produced
belly dance venues Shimmies in the Spring and just completed her first theatrical production 1001 Tales in the Night. For
